Otello to klasyczny dramat, który od czasu jego stworzenia przez Szekspira był wystawiany z wykorzystaniem wielu rozmaitych stylów i technik teatralnych. Teraz jest to temat poszukiwań artystycznych podjętych przez choreografa i aktorów Grupy Teatralnej Indra. Atefeh Tehrani stara się stworzyć przedstawienie, które żyje własnym, prawdziwym, choć odmiennym bytem. Jej Otello wykonywany jest przy pomocy ruchu scenicznego aktorów, których zadaniem jest pokazanie wnętrza emocjonalnego odgrywanych postaci.

Grupa Teatralna Indra została założona przed około dwoma laty przez Atefeh Tehrani. Przedtem była ona członkiem grupy zwanej Czarny Narcyz, pracującej pod kierunkiem Hemada Mohammada Taheri, który przybliżył irańskim artystom teatr ruchu. Po 10 latach pracy z tą grupą Atefeh postanowiła doświadczyć tak zwanego teatru tańca. Pracowała nad tą formą ekspresji, a następnie poprowadziła warsztaty, podczas których podzieliła się z innymi swoim doświadczeniem. W końcu zaprosiła najlepszych uczestników swoich warsztatów do współpracy i tak powstała jej własna grupa o nazwie Indra.

Othello is a classical play which, since its creation by Shakespeare, has been performed in many different theatre styles and techniques. Now it is the subject matter of an artistic exploration undertaken by the choreographer and the actors of the Indra Theatre Group. Atefeh Tehrani attempts to create a performance which contains its own truthful, though different kind of life. Her Othello is performed with the use of physical movement of the actors whose task is to show the inner emotions of the characters they play.

The Indra Theatre Group was established about two years ago by Atefeh Tehrani. Before that she had been a member of a group called The Black Narcissus that worked under the supervision of Hamed Mohammad Taheri who had introduced physical theatre to Iranian artists. After 10 years of working with that group Atefeh decided to experience so-called dance theatre. She worked on it, then held a workshop in which she shared her experience of this form of expression with others and finally chose the best participants from her workshop and established her own group called Indra.
