The KTO Theatre invites submissions for an open competition to produce the premiere of an intimate dance performance as part of the Spaces of Art – Dance (Przestrzenie Sztuki – Taniec) program. We are looking for original choreographic concepts that are at an advanced stage of development and ready for the final production phase.
The objective of the competition is to select one performance project that will be produced by the KTO Theatre and premiere in Cracow.
PROJECT GUIDELINES
The performance must meet the following criteria:
- Duration: 40–70 minutes
- Team: maximum of 3 dance artists (the choreographer and a maximum of 2 dancers/performers) plus other creators (e.g., costume designer, set designer, etc.)
- Format: a choreographic performance for a wide audience
- Stage of development: a project at an advanced stage (the final phase of production)
- Premiere: the first public performance within the program
WHAT WE OFFER?
The Organizer (the KTO Theatre) provides: remuneration for the choreographer, fees for rehearsals and performances, a production budget, stage space, as well as technical and promotional support.
Please note: The Organizer does not cover travel, accommodation, or catering expenses.
TIMELINE
- Call for submissions: April 24, 2026
- Application deadline: June 7, 2026 (23:59)
- Announcement of results: June 23, 2026
- Premiere: August 29, 2026 (KTO Theatre, Kraków)
Additionally, at least one touring performance is scheduled.

- Artists working in the field of dance and choreography
- Creators representing the project team
