Monika Kiwak

An improviser, choreographer, and educator. She practices dance improvisation using imagination as the primary tool for her body and voice. Her work draws on many years of contemporary dance practice informed by Body-Mind Centering, as well as movement and voice performance practices developed by Australian artists. She holds an MA in Polish Philology and Dramaturgy from the Jagiellonian University.

She has been a multiple scholarship recipient of the Art Station Foundation, the National Institute of Music and Dance, the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, KPO, and Performers House in Denmark.

She directs and choreographs performances and leads improvisation workshops for families, children, and adults.
