NEW HOME and OPEN THEATRE performance

Dear Spectators,
Following 44 years of wandering between Polish streets and squares and renowned theatre halls all over the world, we have been given a building in the heart of Krakow’s Podgórze district, a legacy of the former “Wrzos” cinema theatre. Krakow has a new stage, and the KTO Theatre finally has its home,
says Director Jerzy Zoń.

We have the honour to invite you to our new HOME
in the beautiful Krakow’s Podgórze district, at 50 Zamoyskiego Street
for the inaugural performance of OPEN THEATRE directed by Jerzy Zoń.

To the Mystery – with you, we arrive.
KTO knows life is a Mystery.
KTO leads to the Mystery
through the streets

The words of Bronisław Maj announce the beginning of the Inaugural Celebrations
on the 6th and 7th of September, as the prologue takes place on the street…
…one part of the performance will take place in the garden and the second part – in the building. The performance will consist of scenes created by KTO Theatre artists and the most outstanding theatre makers from all over Europe. We will present our characteristic means of expression – elements of street theatre, surprising scenes, installations, dances and theatrical impressions, says Director Jerzy Zoń, and… well, here we shall say no more.

In other words, the multidimensional production entitled OPEN THEATRE will remain a closely guarded enigma until the 44-year-old dream, which Paweł Głowacki called NEW STATION, materializes.
