Four Shades of Theatre – July 30, Wadowice

The Blind & Visible – Invisible workshop as part of the Theatre Without Words cycle within the Four Shades of Theatre project.

Join us on July 30, in Wadowice for:

1. Monumental outdoor production The Blind directed by Jerzy Zoń.

"And there are also echoes of other great literary images of blindness, from the blind seer Tiresias of Greek tragedy, to Maeterlinck’s Les Aveugles, with its group of blind people on a troubled pilgrimage; in this powerful and beautifully acted visual drama about a society’s instinctive response to a crisis that kills no-one, but changes everything, and reveals many disturbing truths."
Joyce McMillan, The Scotsman, Edinburgh

2. The Visible – Invisible workshop is an opportunity to get to know and feel how the blind perceive the world.

It will sensitise the participants to their other senses, with the point of reference being movement-body-dance based on the selected scenes from The Blind.
The "visible – invisible" impressions, experiences and the ability to understand the blind will stay with us forever.

The workshop is part of the Four Shades of Theatre project, co-financed by the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (EEA) 2014-2021, Culture Programme, Outcome 2 Access to culture and art.
