The Krakow Choreographic Centre (KCC) operates within the structure of the municipal cultural institution – the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre. It promotes new choreography and contemporary dance alongside other art forms, offering a wide range of initiatives for both emerging and established artists, as well as for the local community.
KCC organizes the Krakow Dance Festival – an annual international event that creates a space for experiencing movement in many different ways. The Centre also runs regular movement classes, organizes research residencies, produces performances, prepares academic conferences, and hosts numerous other events. It is also active as a presenting organization.
The Centre is collectively run by a strong team of women who value the soft strength of sensitivity, feminism, care, equality, and inclusivity—values that have not always been self-evident in Poland’s socio-political reality in recent years. KCC focuses on professionalism, long-term impact, and development aligned with the needs of the dance community.
