This year’s edition of the Krakow International Festival of Street Theatres - 29. ULICA - will take place in the period from the 7th to the 10th of July 2016.
The 4 theatre days will be dominated by the groups coming from Poland, as the festival’s ambition is to diagnose the condition of the Polish art of street theatre. There will also be some groups from other countries.
Many productions will be modest in size. There will also be some performances for children as well as a number of spectacular outdoor shows, theatre workshops and discussion panels. The festival’s audience estimated at the total of some 100 000 viewers will gather around the shows presented on the most beautiful open-air stages of Krakow (the Main Square, the Small Square, the Szczepanski Square) and – for the first time in the history of the ULICA festivals – in the Podgorski Square situated on the other bank of the Vistula River.
Among the spectators there will be directors, observers and reviewers from the entire world. We are also planning a meeting attended by stage directors, journalists and observers.
You are invited!
