The director and author of This Week’s Saints delightfully initiates us into the crazy associations of his debating characters, always bearing in mind recurring words and motifs. He builds his theatre by consistently shuffling several elements, by multiplication of paradoxes, by gargling the absurd. Discipline, precision, jokes: some tamed and some gone wild. Niedzwiedzki really impressed me with this show.
An ironic and bitter at times (as it is taken from life!) tale about us as we are – trapped between Monday and Sunday.
This Week’s Saints is a universal story about a man who has “locked himself” in a life full of everyday absurdities, unsolvable problems and grotesque events.
It’s a perverse and ridiculous tale with a daring pace, great acting, witty humour, unexpected role changes and surprising twists of action.
