Franciszek Muła

Associated with the STU Theatre from the first recruitment to the Actor’s Studio in 1967. There, he played in several dozen productions directed by Krzysztof Jasiński, whom he considers his tutor. Among them are the most important in the output of STU, such as: Desire caught by the tail by P. Picasso, Falling, Polish Dream Book, Exodus, Patients based on Master and Margarita by M. Bułgakov, Secret mission according to Merci, or the cases of Szypow by B. Okujawa, Donquixoteria, Ubu A. Jarry, A Thousand and Second Night by C.K. Norwid, Hamlet by W. Shakespeare, A. Fredro Revenge, M. Gogol’s Inspector.

For thirty years, he also plays at the Groteska Theatre in a diverse repertoire for youth and adults. These include performances Miromagia, Japanese fairy tales by U. Taro, Around the Worlds in Eighty Days by J. Verne, Pilot and Prince according to A. Saint-Exupery, Balladyna by J. Słowacki, Legend by St. Wyspiański, The Marriage of Figaro by W. A. Mozart, The End of the World by K. I. Gałczyński, The Sun in the Moominvalley by T. Jansson, The Summer of the Moomins or the Grand Theater by T. Jansson, The Rogue of Witalis the Fox by J. Brzechwa, Don Quixote by Cervantes, Voltaire’s Candide, Mrs. Grateful Stream by S. I. Hsiung, The Book of Paradise Adventures by I. Manger, Pinocchio by C. Collodi, Amelka, Beaver and the King on the Roof by T. Dorst, The Big Friendly Giant by R. Dahl, Aladdin’s Miraculous Lamp by B. Leśmian, Abduction of Baltazar Gąbka or the Dragon & roll according to St. Pagaczewski, Thumbelina by J. Ch. Andersen, Ugly Duckling by J. Ch. Andersen.

From 2008, at the Barakah Theater, he appeared in performances directed by Ana Nowicka – J. Gertner’s Clinic of Good Death, A. Smec-Todorović’s Dead Wedding and H. Levin’s The Queen of Bathtub and participated in dozens of performative readings of dramas and adaptations of literary works as well as poetry evenings .

He took part in Anna Dymna’s Poetic Salon several times. Occasionally appears in movies, series and TV commercials.

As a sensitive observer, he’s accompanying the KTO Theatre since its first premiere, and since 2014 he appeared in productions directed by Jerzy Zoń – Neomonachomachia, Vivat Kościuszko, Biało-Czerwona, Weselisko.
