Art Spaces – Dance is a nationwide program aimed at supporting the independent artistic community by creating stable conditions for the development and presentation of artistic work.
In 2026–2028, Teatr KTO serves as the regional operator, becoming an important point on the dance map of Kraków and the Małopolska region.
Teatr KTO is, above all, a place of encounter.
As part of the Art Spaces program, we collaborate with the Krakow Dance Theatre, the Krakow Choreographic Centre, and the foundations Crush on Trash, Milla, and Łagodnie, among others.
Our goal is to create an ecosystem of dance culture in Kraków and the region, based on cooperation between artists, institutions, and local communities.
We received the role of operator of the Art Spaces – Dance program with great joy and gratitude. We would like to thank the Institute of Music and Dance for their trust. For us, this is not only an honour, but above all a responsibility.
Dance and movement have always been an important part of our artistic identity. We are interested in the body as a tool for storytelling, emotion, and encounter with the audience. That is why we are opening a space at Teatr KTO with genuine satisfaction – a space that will offer real support to independent dance artists: creators who are searching, courageous, and building their own language of expression.
For years we have consistently worked to support the development of this field, including launching a new festival on the theatrical map in recent years – the Body and Time Festival.
We have always remained open to the world of physical theatre artists and new forms of expression. Now we can give these activities an even broader dimension.
We believe that Art Spaces – Dance at our theatre will become a place of dialogue, experimentation, and encounter: between creators and audiences, ideas and practice, movement and thought.
We invite you to build this space together with us.
