Hold on! is a wordless show of delightful virtuosity, where gravity, counterweight and centrifugal force are tested to new limits. Buckets whirl around, cups and balls fly through the air and planks turn into catapults. It all culminates with the charming protagonist holding himself afloat in the air just by the power of his grip, whilst he is balancing on top of the rope. If he lets it go he will fall…
Stefano Di Renzo is a circus and theatre artist whose work is a dynamic fusion of circus and physical language. He examines potential meanings and presents various stories with the use of acrobatics, object manipulation and corporal movement. Stefano trained at Municipal School of Circus Alcorcón in Madrid and at National Centre for Circus Arts in London. Hold on is his second solo show presented at outdoor festivals in Europe since 2015.
