Gulliver’s Cosmic Journey
Gulliver’s Cosmic Journey, is a production based on “Gulliver’s Travels”, the famous novel by Jonathan Swift. We are currently at a turning point in the history of our planet. On the night of December 21, 2020, the world entered the Age of Aquarius.
The advent of the Age of Aquarius heralds to the world the end of the old and the beginning of a new life: the end of wars and quarrels, the beginning of peace and respect for nature and all beings. It is not enough to live. What counts i show you live. Gulliver’s Cosmic Journey is a performance addressed to children and adults. On a Gulliver’s magical ship we sail to the stars. Meanwhile, like a meteorite, a huge Cosmic Egg with information for humanity, falls from the sky and, heading towards the Earth, hits the ship which breaks into two halves. Then it continues its flight to the Land of Liliput tormented by absurd Wars. Now, only Gulliver can make the Egg return to the sky to fulfill the star’s prophecy of a new era of love and respect for everything and everyone.

The Klinika Lalek Puppet Theatre was founded in 1988 at the Puppetry Department of Wrocław Theatre School. In 1991 the company moved to Wolimierz, a small village in the Izery Mountains. Since then it has ked the life of a wandering puppet theatre.
The theatre performs in streets and squares of different cities, towns and villages across Europe and the World. It has performed in almost all European countries, and also in Cuba, Taiwan and China.
In their work the actor and the puppet coexist and create characters together. In Klinika Lalek the production process is based on the method of collective creation – the members of the group actively participate in each and every stage of performance preparation. And all of that is done under the careful eye of the company’s director Wiktor Wiktorczyk.
Performances are mostly played in the space of fields, streets and squares, with the use of high puppets, iron machines, musical installations, creatures, people and the elements. Music is often ten played live by the orchestra and the actors.
The Klinika Lalek Puppet Theatre is a host of the International Festival of Theatre for Children DZIECINADA in Wrocław. In Wolimierz the company has created a centre for art and culture which runs various artistic, cultural and educational projects. In summer months the company organises international festivals of theatre, visual arts, film and music.
