Graduate of the Department of Scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and the Department of History at the Jagiellonian University.
She is the author of stage sets and costumes for several dozen productions for theatres in Poland and abroad, including the National Stary Theatre and the Ludowy Theatre in Krakow; thePolish Theatre and the Polonia Theatre in Warsaw; the S. Jaracz Theatre and the Grand Theatre in Łódź; the Silesian Opera, the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet in Oslo.
Joanna has been awarded the Opole Golden Mask for the costumes for the Chronicles of Narnia (2015) and the Łódź Golden Mask for the set design for the Helver’s Night play (2019).
Working with the KTO Theatre since 2003. She is the author of stage sets and costumes for I’ll Sell the House in Which I Can Live No More, The Blind (set design), Chorus of Orphans,
Peregrinus and many KTO Theatre shows created for special occasions, including Biało-Czerwona, F451 – Kraków, Nowa Hutaand Weselisko.
