A Midsummer Night’s Dream of Pinezka the Clown
A poetic street show related very loosely to the famous play by William Shakespeare. When Pinezka the Clown falls asleep, forest fairies take him to a magical world of fantasy. Marionettes made out of tin cans create a galaxy of fantastic characters. Evil and good, of course, fight against each other. Mischievous green fairies keep messing things up but, with the support from the audience, Pinezka the Clown finally wins a skirmish with an evil dragon and eventually his dream adventures conclude with a wedding march and a happy ending.
This performance without words, combining elements of dance and pantomime, is addressed to viewers of all ages. Beautiful classical music of Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy is its additional value.
