Jarosław Staniek

Choreographer and director of musical performances. 
He created choreographies for nearly 200 theatre and opera performances, as well as films, TV programs, concerts and music videos. He has cooperated, among others, with the Musical Theatre in Gdynia, the Rozrywka Theatre in Chorzów, the Capitol Theatre in Wrocław, the Powszechny Theatre in Łódź. As a choreographer and director, he has produced the greatest musical titles – Chicago, Fame, Footloose, Grease, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, West Side Story. He has worked with music and film stars, including Nick Cave, Malcolm McDowell, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Heather Graham.

He also realizes his own shows, „including Opentaniec („Pomorska Nagroda Teatralna” Award 2004), hip-hop musical 12 benches (President of Gdynia Award 2006), Metropolish – Telesocjostory (Podlaskie Przedsięwzięcie Roku 2010 Award).

Author of choreography for the films the Heart and the Sweetheart directed by Jan Jakub Kolski and The Lure directed by Agnieszka Smoczyńska.

He started his cooperation with the KTO Theatre in 2018. Together with Katarzyna Zielonka, he created choreography for the KTO’s open-air shows Biało-Czerwona, Nowa Huta and Weselisko.
