We invite you to participate in an open call for film submissions as part of the Kraków Dance Film Festival project. Screenings of the winning films will take place at the PARADOX Cinema.
As part of Kraków Dance Film Festival, we will present film productions focused on dance themes. Each screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
HOW TO SUBMIT A FILM?
A maximum of two films may be submitted to the competition. We highly encourage productions involving students and graduates of Polish arts universities and schools.
Submissions must be sent via the form, and we await your entries until July 5th, by the end of the day. >>> KLIK.
The submission must include:
- contact details,
- the title of the submitted film,
- a biography of the applicant (up to 500 characters),
- a short description of the submitted film (up to 500 characters),
- the production date of the film (no earlier than 2020),
- the film credits (including the names and surnames of the members of the creative team, crew, producers, partners, etc.),
- the duration of the film (maximum 25 minutes),
- the full recording of the film in the form of a link to files uploaded to the cloud or websites, along with the password (if applicable),
- information on availability on September 24, 2026, and a declaration of participation in the discussion accompanying the presentations (availability is not mandatory and does not affect the selection of the film), promotional materials (min. 3 photos + trailer, if available), statements/declarations:
– of holding the rights/consents to the film and promotional materials and the absence of any infringement of third-party rights,
– of availability on the date of the presentations and readiness to participate in the discussion accompanying the screenings,
– of readiness to enter into an agreement,
– of consent to data processing in accordance with § 15 (GDPR) and – if applicable – of passing the information obligation on to the team members.
The film submitted to the competition must meet the following conditions:
- nature of the production: an experimental work,
- created using various dance aesthetics and cinematographic means of expression,
- duration: maximum 25 minutes,
- film format: DCP (Digital Cinema Package),
- Full HD or HD, production date: from 2020 onwards (inclusive),
- its screening has not been co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (MKiDN) or the National Institute of Music and Dance (NIMiT).
The following will not be considered:
- films that are standard recordings of dance performances (video documentation of a performance),
- submissions submitted after the deadline,
- incomplete submissions,
- submissions containing illegal content, or content that violates personal rights or intellectual property rights,
- submissions containing discriminatory content or content that violates generally accepted ethical standards.

July 23, 2026: Announcement of Results
September 24, 2026: Project Screening & Presentation
