On April 11 at 8:00 PM you’ll have the chance to see the first performance – as the part of the program Przestrzenie Sztuki – Taniec – Kraków. The “Miazga” by Stanisław Bulder and Artur Grabarczyk will be presented on the stage of Teatr KTO.
The play raises questions about the boundaries between biological and digital life, between autonomy and determinism. In a world where technologies increasingly interfere with our bodies and minds, the human body in “Miazga” becomes an operating system, subjected to constant analysis and optimization.

Miazga is a program responsible for encoding the continuity of processes occurring in the human body. Miazga is a control center of the organism, focused around the central nervous system. The physiological and social mechanisms taking place in Miazga are subjected to analysis, interpretation, and exploitation by Avatars. They use the Brainfuck programming language, which serves as a choreographic tool responsible for the structure, tempo, and decisions made by the Avatars – says Artur Grabarczyk, who is responsible for the concept of the play.

Miazga is a conceptual dance performance that encourages reflection on the human condition. To do so, it draws on absurdity, becoming ironically humorous and humanly “imperfect.” In a world where everything is programmed, the greatest act of rebellion may be a simple mistake — or perhaps, precisely, dance?
