Side event: The Plague

July 5, 21:00 - 22:00
Grupa osób w klasycznych, teatralnych kostiumach i maskach pozuje dramatycznie w dużym, łukowatym tunelu. Jedna osoba siedzi z przodu na białych poduszkach, ubrana w czarno-białe ubrania i kapelusz, podczas gdy inni stoją z tyłu.

„The Plague” is a story based on a 13th century German legend, written by the Brothers Grimm as „The Pied Piper of Hamelin”. The show tells the same story, but it creates a parabolic tale about the modern world where societies increasingly entrust their fate to charismatic populists. Those, however, in order to rule, need an enemy. In „The Plague” that enemy is rats, but just as easily they could be emigrants or people with different views.

Project co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage under the Art Spaces – Dance program, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
