An average comedian tries in vain to tell a joke that could change his life. Often, however, he lacks the right words or the correct microphone settings to achieve that breakthrough. Struggling with his own limitations, the artist surrenders to the absurd, using every means at his disposal to create moments of comic madness.

In his work, Felix Baumann focuses on an interdisciplinary approach, combining physical theatre, dance, circus arts and the visual arts. His works explore the relationships between the body and matter, issues of (de)construction, comedy and the circus, new materiality, and the ontology of human–object relationships. He uses humour both as a tool for building resilience and as a driving force behind his creative work, enabling him to explore contemporary issues, metaphors and the absurdities of everyday life.
