Otwiera się waliza i nagle pojawiają się dziwaczne figury, archetypowe postacie. Z kufra pełnego lalek wyskakują: Król i Błazen, Księżniczka i Książę, Policjant i Rabuś, Myśliwy i Królik. Waliza jest ich domem i sceną. Wiedzą, że nie są sami i zaciekawia ich publiczność, która przyszła, by na nich patrzeć. Zaczyna się więc gra: czasem wartka, a czasem uroczysta, czasem nieznośnie głośna, a potem znów bardzo spokojna, czasami niegrzeczna, a potem nagle przymilna …
